WIN for Asthma/Diabetes:
The Washington-Heights Inwood Network (WIN) for Asthma is a hospital-community partnership designed to strengthen the existing community-wide network of care and to improve outcomes for local children with poorly controlled asthma. Bilingual Community Health Workers serve as the single point of contact for families who require comprehensive asthma education, support, and multiple referrals for services such as housing, immigration, and mental health.

Health Literacy Initiative
In partnership with the Community Engagement Core Resource (CECR) at Columbia University Medical Center, CLOTH is working to build and improve health literacy in the disadvantaged communities of Washington Heights. Our effort will focus on improving the decision-making skills of residents with regard to their personal health, while simultaneously developing understanding and open communication lines between research study participants and researchers, thus forming a lasting community-academic partnership.
Annual Health and Cultural Festival
CLOTH has an Annual Health and Cultural Festival every August. We invite health providers to engage with the community, providing information about health services available to the community and free screenings. The Health Festival is an all day event that seeks to highlight the health issues the community and disseminate information about the treatments and programs available.
